What is Aroma-Touch Therapy?

Aroma-Touch Therapy is a technique that involves the application of carefully selected essential oils and massaging them along energy meridians and visceral contact points of the back and feet to help balance the sympathetic and parasympathetic nervous systems. Did you know that applying essential oils to the skin allows them to be absorbed much more. If you apply essential oils topically, meaning that you put it directly on your skin, it’ll have a fast path to your blood-stream but you feel the effects less immediately; it will go to your digestive system, respiratory system, muscles and joints, vascular system and finally your hormonal system. Because of that, it is very important to source essential oils that are of the purest natural qualities. Select oils that don’t have any additives beyond the oil and the mixer itself. You don’t want to use artificial elements because they have a direct passage into your bloodstream. Even though topical application is a slower way to experience the effects of the oil, it will last longer.

What can I expect from an Aromatherapy Massage?

Consultation & Essential Oil Blend Review:

Before the treatment, your Aroma-Touch Practitioner will discuss your health history, concerns, and desired outcomes to select the most appropriate package for you. Both you and your Aroma-Touch Practitioner will collaborate and prepare your chosen essential oils with a carrier oil (Fractioned Coconut oil), which is then applied to your skin during the massage. Carrier oils provide a range of benefits including moisturizing and nourishing the skin, acting as a base to dilute essential oils for safe application.

Massage techniques:

Your Aroma-Touch Therapy Practitioner will be implementing the “Symphony of the Cells™ (SOC)” protocol. Symphony of the Cells™ (SOC) is a collection of essential oil applications created by Boyd Truman, which target different body systems and ailments. Each application includes a list of pure, therapeutic-grade essential oils to layer across the entire back, on the bottoms of the feet, or to inhale when instructed (optional).

Scent inhalation (optional):

You may be offered to inhale the aroma of the essential oils during the massage, contributing to the therapeutic benefits. However, you have the option to choose this preference.

Personalized experience:

Each aromatherapy massage is tailored to your individual needs and preferences, with the therapist adjusting the oil blend and massage techniques accordingly.

What is Aromatherapy?

Aromatherapy is a holistic healing treatment that uses natural plant extracts to promote health and well-being. Aromatherapy uses aromatic essential oils medicinally to improve the health of the body, mind and spirit. It enhances both your physical and emotional health. Did you know that inhaling essential oils stimulates the nervous system, which triggers chemical responses in the body? When you inhale an essential oil, odor molecules travel into your “olfactory” receptors, swish through a few sections of your brain, then move into your limbic system, and then into your pituitary gland, where it then gets distributed to your endocrine system – your adrenal glands, thyroid, and digestive hormones. Meditation is the practice of intentionally spending time with our mind, body, and soul. We take time out of our busy days to sit, breathe, and try to remain focused on our breath. It is about training our awareness and to obtain a healthy sense of perspective. You’re not trying to turn off your thoughts or feelings, Rather learning to observe them without judgement. Doing this helps us become more aware of our thoughts, act more compassionately toward ourselves and others, and connect with the present moment. Life is sometimes difficult, stressful, and challenging. 

We cannot always control what happens, but we do have the potential to change the way we relate to those things. We need awareness to understand our own mind (our thoughts, feelings, and behaviors). We need compassion to connect with ourselves and others. Meditation creates the conditions for us to see things more clearly, feel calmer and content, and be kind to ourselves and others no matter what is happening in our lives. 

Since the mind is always changing, our experience might feel different each time we meditate. We are teaching ourselves to be comfortable with our mind just the way it is. Meditation is not about achieving anything other than doing it: slowing down during our busy day, checking in with ourselves, and noticing how the mind, body and/or our emotions are.
